Meet the Speakers

We are thrilled to feature two highly respected voices in the cannabis industry:

Dr. David Gordon

Functional and Integrative Medicine Physician and Educator

Dr. David Gordon is a renowned expert in integrative medicine with over 20 years of experience working with patients to provide non-pharmaceutical options for chronic disease prevention and treatment. His expertise centers on a holistic treatment model using the "4 Pillars"—food, movement, relaxation, and community—as the foundation of patient care. In addition to clinical care, Dr. Gordon regularly lectures on the science of the endocannabinoid system and the use of phytocannabinoids for treatment, aiming to advance cannabis education within the medical community.

He also advises cannabis industry companies focused on education and medical applications, working with small independent practices and large-scale companies alike. With his extensive experience in building and managing medical practices, Dr. Gordon has a wealth of knowledge to share about the intersection of cannabis, medicine, and business. He currently consults with patients on implementing cannabis therapies into their health regimens, ensuring that they benefit from this powerful plant in a safe and effective manner.

Dr. Tristan Watkins

Deputy Director at Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade

Tristan Watkins is the Deputy Director at Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, with deep experience in strategic leadership, branding, and product development. Known for his versatile business acumen and hands-on approach, Tristan has successfully led multiple product development initiatives from concept to market. He is an expert in branding, market research, and business strategy, with a focus on leveraging data to create actionable insights that drive measurable business success.

Tristan's extensive experience spans both the cannabis and broader economic sectors, making him a key figure in Colorado's evolving cannabis business landscape. His role involves fostering cannabis equity through state-level initiatives and policy development, helping ensure that diverse communities have access to business opportunities in the growing cannabis industry.

John Frost

Director of Business Development and Faculty Chair, Q Magnetics
Program Director, Center for Excellence in Chemical and Biological Research, Community College of Denver

John Frost is a multidisciplinary analytical chemist with over 14 years of experience in developing novel analytical instruments, custom applications, methods, and markets. Currently, he serves as the Program Director for the Community College of Denver’s Cannabis Science Program, where he leads efforts in educating students on the intersection of chemistry and cannabis. John is also the Director of Business Development at Q Magnetics, where he works on advancing innovative magnetic resonance technologies, including the world's only 125 MHz benchtop NMR spectrometer.

With his extensive background in analytical and physical chemistry, John brings a unique perspective to the cannabis industry, emphasizing the importance of scientific rigor in cannabis research and product development. His passion for applying cutting-edge analytical techniques has made him a key figure in solving complex measurement challenges within the industry.
